Emmett Police Department 1989 Chevy 9C1 Caprice
Driver : Detective Lieutenant Steve Nebeker Steve Nebeker started racing at Firebird in 1978 during his high school years and in the 1980’s he won the “Street” class season championship in 1984 and in 1986. He continued racing into the 1990’s and in 1999 Chief Blaine Hyde fully supported the Beat the Heat program and he started racing the city owned patrol cars. His Caprice was purchased and built by himself in 2002. Also in 2000 his daughter started racing at the High School Drags. In 2002 his son also started racing the High School Drags and won the 2005 High School season points champion.
